I'm sure it's a commonly known mod but as you're the chap who told me about it I thought I'd call for you

We met a while back just outside of Wells, you kinldly listened to my Chimaera and diagnosed a possibly ill cam, you were right. When we chatted you mentioned a special mod you do to the gear linkage, bit of welding or something. Any chance you could remind me please? Got a new clutch and flyweel going in soon and thought I'll do that too.

Alright no need to shout.
If I mentioned a welding mod about the clutch arm then yes that is it.
Simply a small piece of plate welded to the back of the arm to prevent the pivot pin pushing through. Its a common problem especially with heavy duty clutches
