Hi, does anyone have a pic of their boot inc the rubber seal please? Is the seal the same type as the door/wndscreen seal or is it different? Interested also in how far the vinyl comes up to the boot edge.

My seal didn't come back from the painters so I just have the resin edge, and of course I don't have a photo of it...

Thanks

Hi mate...Just digging out a part number...The vinyl in the boot should come up to the inner lip of the edge of the boot...The rubber seal sits over it and holds it in place.
The boot seal is slightly smaller than the door seals...

Okay here is a pic of what i needed for mine...

Part Number ETS619

I bought it from seals direct

Hope this helps

Thanks Zig, it certainly does help.

I've updated the parts list with the code and source. We should put the door/windscreen surround there too, plus the bumper edge strip if you or anyone else knows the codes? Happy to do the updating if I know the codes. Don't have to buy from Sealsdirect but at the least it tells members what the correct dimensions and profiles are.

Cheers,

Hi Mate....I used this one for the bumpers but will need the right glue which they sell as well.

Bumper seal
SRS1890

This guy used to sell the door seals...Not sure of a part number but could be got somewhere else once the profile and size is matched..

Great thanks. I have the original door seal so will do an accurate measure. Remembered the folding rear window has its own seal too (still got that) so will compare that to the door seal - guessing the same but we'll see. Cheers

Hi mate...The door seal goes round both door opening and across the top of the windscreen...The same seal is used for the targa top...For the 350i you will need an extra piece of different profile for the upward sections where the rear of the side windows meet the mohair...Not sure what that one is though i believe someone did find out....Ziga

Good evening gentlemen,

does anybody know where I can get the suitable rubberseals for the roof-sides where the doorglass meets the roof? I can nowhere find a properly profile.

Thank you in advance

Udo

Thank you very much.

Unfortunately the only probably suitable profile could be Part Nr. 427 from Woolies Trim. But it is a self adhesive Sponge Strip, that might not work.

But no problem. My current roof-seals are still fairly okay, so I will search calmly.

Thanks again, regards from Cologne

Hello Zig,

thank you very much again. It is interesting to see that obviously some different seals for the targa-panel are in use. To be sure at first I will look at some other wedges during one of the next TVR-meetings.

Best regards

Udo
