Hi Guys,

So I'm thinking of bringing the 993 back online. Here's what I think it needs:

- Steering Rack, the old one was leaking
- New clutch - I think it was slipping when I drove it last
- A service - The last time I drove it was 6 years ago!
- There was some sort of issue with the rear wiper, it would not stop!

What do you think I'm looking at to get this back?

Cheers

Sunil

I can't give you a specific number but just talking from experience that every time my 964 visits a mechanic the bill is usually around the £800 mark, you can multiply that a few times in your case.

Hi All,

So the 964 is back on the road, have actually really enjoyed driving it.

I didn't lower it in the end... My aim is to bring the 993 back on the road and then decide what I sell (if at all).

Cheers

Just when we think we can slip back into our mundane Porsche ownership of flat batteries and suspension settings, Sunil steps in with another project from under his bed. A forgotten 993 now that's chucked us a curved ball and after project 964 I simple can't wait for the next instalment.

This is better than Game of Thrones!!!

I really need to get out more.

Thanks for the post that did make me chuckle! Even the chaps at work are taking the p*ss reference my cars. The girlfriend and the mother don't understand me.

I just can't bring myself to sell any of my cars.
