Seeing as this thread is dying again and talking about anything but the new car, there are obviously no updates - even I've worked that out - so are there any more planned before Xmas/New Year?
Do we expect confirmation of the contractors actually in the new building doing the overhaul? As it has been previously reported the works will take up to 6 months do we know if the other facility will start to produce cars in the meantime?
I haven't seen the car in the flesh (people say its better than pics) and doubt I will anytime soon. I'm sure Les will agree Dewsbury does not have the same sales potential as Goodwood. wink
Pretty sure update fatigue is setting in. The fatigue of waiting.

I think this thread dropping in activity isn’t a great thing. Even the clashes of opinion stimulate interest. What is there out there apart from this thread and irregular updates.

As for seeing it in the flesh. It’s pretty much the same as the pics.

I absolutely love the Stormtrooper look. I wish I hadn't seen it to be honest because I can't see Mr Edgar creating a car for the minority. Les is More kind of thing.

I know I’ve posted this before but it’s interesting how a few simple tweaks transform that front end.

Guess we’re stuck in the mud then...
Waiting for Dakar 2019 to take us into the NY..

I dont expect next TVR update before end of March...anything before that is a bonus. It’s a quiet few months for them I reckon.

I’d like a bit more news from the Sp~12 project in ‘our interim’... Has anyone seen it running ..???

There are two camps now:

The whatabout the front end types who want to know if sunburst orange is available and render an arcade game car to persuade Les, ask why there aren’t six cars for the Press to evaluate and want to know the trim choices.

And then there are other types who want to know the progress on the currently empty factory.

I have no doubt the ‘others’ will get answers long before the whatabouts!

Has anyone on here contacted the project as a propective customer, and if so is there any vague hint of the sort of money required to acquire one ( totally out of my league by the wayfrown.)
as that is a car to seriously excite me.

The plan is to produce 12 IIRC and a dealer in London has already been approached and a figure of £1.2m was mentioned . 12 is obviously the magic number smile
That was the turbo charged V12 developing 1000bhp.

Mmm..I’ve also heard that price mentioned...
Which kinda makes the new Griff even more of a bargain.
Sp-12 looks a bit ‘home-made’ in my eyes..

From this,

shouldn't we comparing the Griff to the 'mercedes-benz sls amg black series' (in white)?

IMO the Merc is immense (check out the Shmee videos of it at Goodwood FOS) - but the Griff is offering the potential to top it!!!

Les, Please feed us something over the Christmas break to retain interest (any fend off the bay sayers) smile

After everything that has been said to Les here and in person, and his promises of news are we really going to have to go back to no update information or comms from TVR ????

And what about that finance deadline where did that go?

From memory, the last update said production would probably start at the smaller unit first until the main building was completed. The Autocar 'interview' mentioned above seems to be less enthusiastic for that to happen? And Autocar mentions no PR department as well.
(at least Max Clifford is not available.....)
