I have some 50mm Celotex GA4000 to attach to an external wall behind a fitted wardrobe.

It won't be visible so it doesn't need to be pretty but I've no idea how to attach it to the wall.

Glue? - if so, what sort of glue?

Screws? - what sort of screw?

Any help welcomed.

Dot and Dab, baton and screwed or a mechanical fix.

Dot and dab sounds good. Thanks. But what sort of glue?

To be honest if you are just throwing it up it doesn't really matter. Any tube of Gripfast or similar will do. Not exactly heavy is it? If it were me I would be battening and then using 12mm plasterboard over it before plastering.

Thanks. Do you mean: http://www.screwfix.com/p/gripfill-adhesive-350ml/...

I don't intend to plaster over it. It's behind a fitted wardrobe completely out of sight.

So, if I just secure the 8x4 pieces of celotex with the gripfill then it'll be job done?

Do you think that 2 tubes of gripfill will be enough for each piece of 8x4?

Yep should be fine for what you are doing.

Clear silicone would be better for bonding the celotex to the wall, rather than gripfil.

Insta stik, even better than all the above mentioned.

'Sticks Like' or similar will be better than gripfill.

Personally I'd rather put say 5 screws through it with a washer on the end - easy to remove too.

Technically it's a cold spot blah, blah...
