morning all. anybody burn pallets in their wood burner ? I have a monumental stash of them if anyone would like some FOC. drop me a PM if you do. they would need to be collected mid-week in the Warrington area.

ps, not a for sale thread, just need to clear some space from the yard. although a small donation to the Salvation Army at Christmas time would be appreciated smile

I find a "Free" sign on pallets, slabs or pretty much anything else, gets them removed within 24hrs

unfortunately, not on the site we are on. more than pallets would go missing frown was hoping that if anyone off here had a large van, they could turn up and I'd load them up with the fork-truck. worst case, will do a back load to the factory in Germany but want to avoid a 1k euro bill.

Give them to your local scouts. Particularly this time of year, we get through loads of the buggers (unfortunately not in your area, otherwise I'd be straight round for a load or two).

Put them up as free Kindling! I had a pallet and used the axe to break them down into kindling to get the log fire going! I have 3 bags worth now.

Edit - or put them on a free cycle site (http://www.freeads.co.uk/leeds/freestuff/) as people might use them for building a desk or a table or whatever wacky things are being done at the time.
