Quick and effective though, I buy it from https://www.rubber4roofs.co.uk a very helpful place in Coventry
I suspect sticking plastic under shingles may cause an issue with condensation.

Had a look today, cleared some of the moss off and the shingles are still intact up at the point where it is leaking, what it looks like is that where they drip off, there is a piece of wood and they should overlap but over time bits have cracked off, so the water is getting between the finisher and the roof planks, T and G that forms the roof, this has got wet on the end and the moisture seems to have tracked up the wood.
Not sure whether to start again, replace any of the wet planks, a little rotten one end, using a reciprocating toon and then drift a new piece of T and G in, then re shingle the lot or work out some way to get the water to not drop down the gap, maybe bitumen paint over the last shingle each side as from what I can see the rest it mostly ok, when it dries out if it isnt getting wet anymore if should be ok for a while.
