I'm trying to get hold of a supplier of Chacos Roland apparently very good walking boots?

In my time I've done a whole range of hiking/walking from short loops to 30 day alpine treks.

My advice in a nutshell is - don't buy on brand, buy on how they fit you... Go to a good shop (one that doesn't pay on commission) and try a range with some decent advice.

Your feet, ankles, legs and back will thank you.
