(ANSWERED)Font weight FAO Mr Mansfield
Discussion
Since you have been dismissive and rudely closed the topic I am going to start another.....
You said:
"Sorry, font weight. My point still stands. Our font weight is generic to other weights used online."
This is utter nonsense:
BBC news - no font weight set
Daily Mail ditto
Daily Telegraph ditto
evo ditto
The Times font weight 400
Sky news font weight 400
Pistonheads forum no font weight set
Wikipedia no font weight set
Autocar no font weight set
By way of illustration - which is easier to read?

I'll agree that the bottom one is easier to read. However, there is no plan to change the font weight in the articles I'm afraid.
Jack
Are there plans to change anything for the better?Jack
I'm trying not to get at you Jack because I know you're doing you job as but pretty much every good suggestion, no matter how easy or hard they might be to do and even ones you agree with are denied.
Is the aim of Haymarket to slowly ps off every user so they all leave for CarThrottle/DriveTribe/Facebook/etc so they can just shut down these forums?

Of course there is work being done for the better, that's the aim of all the work we do! When Laura posted in the https thread she mentioned they were building a better platform, so that when these easy requests come in, they can be done quickly and easily.I'm trying not to get at you Jack because I know you're doing you job as but pretty much every good suggestion, no matter how easy or hard they might be to do and even ones you agree with are denied.

At the moment there is a back log, and therefore some (not all) of these 'easy' jobs are going to take a back seat until we are on top of things.

Yeah I've seen Laura's post on the other thread, we do understand work is being done.At the moment there is a back log, and therefore some (not all) of these 'easy' jobs are going to take a back seat until we are on top of things.
Perhaps a list of all the requests could be collated as they are asked and made into a locked sticky in Website Feedback or PH Labs (whatever happened to that..)? Perhaps with an answer, for example:
Font Weight: Yes - once new platform is released.
Porn Sub-Forum: No - such content is against PH rules. (Made up but such a request would be an obvious no!)
Rather than giving a hard no for everything, turn it into "Yeah, we'll add that to the list"
I do worry for the future of PH especially with my age group 25-30 and 18-25s with all the other more 'social' (linking into Facebook) motoring sites and I'm sure any analytics you have will more or less agree. PH Forums are okay for the old generation by is missing a lot of things 'young people' want.
