Fire Extinguishers
Discussion
for a small smoulder / fire you will need at least 2lt Foam or 2kg Powder. place in the passenger compartment and easily to hand - sideways just in front of the drivers seat if possible.
For a larger fire - hope others have more extinguishers - have been known to use more than half a dozen. and even then lost the vehicle.
I have competed and marshalled on rallies

This is mine, fitted when I first read about fuel line fires. Fuel hoses now replaced but I decided it would be prudent to leave it in place
I hope there's more to that mounting than meets the eye or God help passenger & driver in any major front impact, least of all the windscreen!Eta: just noticed steel cable below extinguisher, assume that's a tether, if so I apologise but it might highlight a potential danger to others.

I've installed a load bearing spreader bar attached above the fuel tank that carries the load to the reinforced areas on each inner wing. The teather should be attached, I'm not sure why it isn'tEta: just noticed steel cable below extinguisher, assume that's a tether, if so I apologise but it might highlight a potential danger to others.

Reading my way down the thread, I assumed they were the tethers for the harnesses of your matched pair of cocker spaniels
I use the now redundant harness points for my husky, they're bolted onto the top of the diff cage Which only goes to show what happens when one posts with tongue firmly in cheek....
