Wheel bearings

Sadly had one of the rear wheel bearings fail yesterday morning so have spent a fair bit of time searching for a replacement.

TVR parts have one (C0425) which is around £83 plus p+p which would be the easiest way to go, however it does appear that there are savings to be made buying through eBay.

The issue is that I appreciate the original part is a "Jeep" unit but so far I've found 2 different model and years so need to be sure I'm getting the correct bearing.

Has anyone bought one of the non TVR parts suppliers bearings and if so can you advise the original Jeep part number.

I've seen both Jeep Grand Cherokee 93-98 (OEM# 53007449, 53007449AB) and the JEEP Grand Cherokee 1999-2004 (OEM 5016458AA) and just found another (OEM52098679)

Fantastic, thanks for that.

How easy was it to fit ? Did you have any trouble getting the 3 Allen bolts out ? Then how easy did the unit come away from the upright ?

The big nut in the centre was a bit of a struggle, the rest not so much, i followed as in this link.

The three cap head/allen bolts are 10mm, covered in thread lock they came off with a struggle too.

I went the USAutomotive route also, no problems to note in the past year. 1-2 hours work if all goes smoothly.
