Excel Help (Date Formatting)

Is there a quick and easy way of getting Excel to format dates in a speadsheet to automatically turn 1 into 1st, 2 into 2nd, 3 into 3rd etc etc

If you type 1st in the first cell and drag using the little black block it will extrapolate the series correctly but I dont know if there is a way to convert what is already there...

Cheers, it's not quite that simple, should of said first time thru i guess, sorry!

I'm creating a resource chart sort of thing where someone puts in the year and month and it automatically puts the right number of day (numerically) infront of you and also the correct day of the week.

Entering the 1st then drag routine works for days 1 to 28 but it's from there on in that the problem occurs.

I'd say you're over complicating it then

Get them to enter the first day of the month and use a combination of formulas to show all the days/dates for that month

something like this?
