Back in June I took VR and got a payout. Signed on JSA for a few weeks and then went back to work for the same company on a self employed basis. So this tax year I have PAYE, JSA and now self employed income. I am also now using my own car and get some miles paid for. Is there a spreadsheet to work out my tax and ni ?

Sounds like you need an accountant, not a spreadsheet!

The simple answer is not really. There are proper tax calculation software packages available - which you usually have to buy. There are some ready reckoners you can find by Googling but they aren't fully capable of calculating all tax liabilities in all situations.

UK tax has become so complex that even HMRC's own software is not able to carry out the calculations correctly.

Hi there, I am working for 1 client, my old company who re-employed me via an agency. Can you explain more about 'employed status' please ?

You DEFINITELY need an accountant. You are at high risk from IR35 and you need to either discuss this with an accountant or read up on the IR35 regulations.
