So one of the things on the list is to replace the "trap" (a piece of split gunked up flexi hose) on the bidet

Height is very limited and the only trap that will fit is a little too large in circumference (a few mm)

I have started removing material from the base of the bidet with a Dremel but it's (very) slow and the Ali oxide bits I have tend to fail. I did buy some diamond bits but these are not as good as the former

So any suggestions on a suitable bit or alternative method ?

Pics would help but I'd be shocked to find that grinding the bidet is the best option.

However I have found this to be superb for similar jobs

However I'd rather use a solid disc version on ceramic for fear of shattering it.

Does the trap have to be a direct fit to the bidet?

Whilst I'm sure some would fit - a standard 4" diamond blade will grind that down - have done similar to fit around existing outlets.

Thanks for that, when I was buying I used the filter for 32mm and that one did not display frown

Also it says it's 300mm high!

Mmm it does but it can't be can it? From the picture the whole thing isn't eight times as tall as the 40mm diameter pipe connector.

Anyhow, it looks like you've got there but it looks tight to the floor. You could always ask at the counter to measure the one I posted & measure it to see if it's smaller.

I agree with you I don't think it can be that high

Still need to remove more material because the trap is not vertical and won't form a seal ATM

Ordered one because it's extended range and they don't have it in store

Yes I agree but there is the distance to the (existing) solvent weld pipework which disappears under the floorboards to consider

With the trap I have pictured it only needs a couple of inches of 32mm pipe to coneect it

The other issue with that shallow bath waste might be that the exit pipe ends up above the water level of the bidet

Let's have a picture of the other end of the pipework.
