Chin Splitter, anyone tried?
Discussion
Has anyone put one of these on their Vantage? Not cheap, but maybe cheap insurance to protect the prohibitively expensive carbon fiber front splitter.

I found another scrape armor made of polymer. It looks like it may be better than aluminum. Curious if anyone has tried.

I have done about 20k miles in my V12v’s and have had no issues with scraping the front splitter. I am very careful and seldom park facing a kerb, reverse in, and approach any slopes at an angle.
A couple of times I have heard a slight scrape of the front when I have caught it but never had any damage. Never looked in to the type of addition you have highlighted and would think that it must slightly lower the front and create more scrapping on slopes and the like.
Hopefully someone will come along who has experience.

I was interested in these after incurring some light damage on mine and wanted to cover it up but it seems they all involve self-tapping screws and sealants and thus are somewhat irreversible and there is some 'damage' fitting them. I was hoping to find something that would use existing fittings. If I have this wrong then I would consider it but quote for repair of mine (which is barely visible) is about the same as the kit and I also make the same observations as Ian

I was thinking the same thing, these will actually reduce clearance and could increase the chance for damage. I think they use existing bolts and requre no drilling or sealants. I stand corrected it does require drilling of the Carbon fiber splitter I would never allow that, looks more like something to sell, not to buy.

Some thicker PPF might do the trick for the occasional speed bump 'kiss'? It's also replaceable.
I think your correct and this might be the best option.Edited by AstonV on Wednesday 28th February 19:44
