So today I woke up to a puncture on my back right tyre as it’s a Sunday not many places are open so I went to the closest kwik fit where they refused to do it as they was busy and they are closing soon so i went to another kwik fit a phew Miles away and same again even though I told them I live 50 miles away but they said have I got breakdown cover which I’m not 100% sure if I do and for a puncture it’s just more hassle than it’s worth I’ve got one of them stupid puncture repair kits in my boot but have no idea how I use them and meaning I will have to replace the tyre once I use it, so I went to the last kwik fit a phew more miles away, about 20 minutes before they close and they agreed to do it respectively they did it in about 10 minutes and because they was rushing to leave he said I don’t have to pay and when I looked at the wheel I see why so I stood outside looking at the damage which is really bad the person who did it never mentioned anything about it so I spoke to another colleague as the other guy left and he said I’ll have to ring up on Tuesday as that’s when he gets back, I’m getting rid of my car in 3 weeks and was just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and how long it takes? I’ve got a receipt as my girlfriend paid before he said about having it for free?

Sorry for the long paragraph but from a big company like this and for my wheel to look a absolute mess is just beyond a joke

You found a puncture and were able to drive circa 50-70 miles on it, yet it HAD to be sorted on a Sunday?

You took a car with wheels you care about to Kwik Fit?

You had a tube of goo, but didn't know how to use it?

You're selling the car in a three weeks and want it sorted by then?

I'm sorry to say this, but if Kwik Fit sort it, it takes as long as it takes. You're selling in car in three weeks is really not their problem.
If you can drive 50-60 miles on a puncture then why not just take it to your preferred tyre shop in the week? or use the tube of goo in the boot and fix it in the week. No one to blame but yourself for this situation, which isn't helpful I admit.

Also he said you can have a tyre repair for free then your GF paid it? Or you paid then he said you can have it for free you didn't ask for your money back? (Probably good in this case to be fair as it makes it easier to get something out of Kwik fit)

In answer to your question I have never been in the same situation, phew!!

Are you sure you didn't damage the wheel driving 50 miles with a puncture and presumably under inflated if you didn't know how to use the inflation kit thingy?

No no no all wrong? I noticed the puncture which wasn’t mega bad but it was down because I got an email and my dashboard told me and then I noticed it, I drove about 3 miles to the closest Kwik Fit where I got refused then I drove another 2 miles to the second one where I got refused so then I drove to the last one which is about 3 miles away from there where they repaired it, I got it repaired before I had to travel 50 miles BACK HOME, why would I use the puncture kit when I would have to buy a new tyre which my tyre has got plenty of tread still and as for the recipt my girlfriend was inside waiting to pay but an old women was speaking to the staff memeber behind the counter I was outside having a fag and when he finished the alloy he said to me if she’s not paid yet it’s okay you can just leave so I walked in after my fag and told my girlfriend but she just paid and got the recipt so I went back outside and then that’s where I noticed my alloy me and my girlfriend was thinking what we could do in the car and then that’s when we spoke to the other college as the person who repaired the puncture left?

Send a phew emails. And a phew pics of the alloy. If that doesn’t work go back a phew times and make a nuisance of yourself in front of a phew customers.

I think the best thing to do is upload a picture of the damage then we can all see what the garage has supposedly done. As some body else mentioned, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bit of damage from the road by being under inflated.

Don't care about the alloys? In which case why bother making the thread if you're not arsed about them.....

The tyre was on 21 psi when I got it to the last Kwik Fit I looked at the alloy before he took it off to show him where the puncture was and there was no marks whatsoever

Look where it’s a line going all the way round where the machine goes to take the tyre on and off?

You did a phew posts up. I asked if you'd taken a car with alloys you were bothered about to Kwik Fit. You answered no. So either you're not arsed about the alloys or your didn't take them to Kwik Fit.

I see a mark on three of the twelve spokes? I don't see a mark all of the way around? Alloy looks a bit battered, but could be dirty....sell it as it is?

EDIT- Had another look, see a light mark the whole way around. Talk to Kwik Fit. It takes as long as it takes to sort. As said, the fact you're selling your car in three weeks really isn't their problem.

Be sure not to use any punctuation when you do. Makes it much easier for them to work out what you're saying.
