So after months of looking to trade in her Focus for something a bit more sporty, one night trawling through Autotrader (as I spend most nights coffee ) I found an 07 Audi TT for sale 40 miles away.. thankfully we both had the next morning off work so shoved the kids into school and off we went..

Couple of hours later test drive went well, trade in deal done and deposit was down..

Next day we picked it up, here was the first pic the wife took..

Spec is:
3.2 V6 Quattro
S Tronic with paddle shift
Red Nappa Leather
Sat Nav
Parking Sensors
Xenons
Cruise Crontol
And some other boring features..

All in all a cracking car with 82k on the clock, full Audi Service History and brand new brakes n tyres too.. Wife is so happy with it, which means I’m happy with it biggrin

She had a couple of days getting used to it and then we decided to take it for a long weekend away with the kids.. to my surprise everything fit! Including the children! clap

Had it now for just over a week and I’ve driven it a couple of times, very pleasing car to drive and that V6 sounds really nice..

Although still won’t keep up with mine evil

Here are some more pics of the TT and of them both together after a wash..

Looks lovey, they've aged very well especially as I suspect you didnt oay an awful lot of money for it.

Was surprised to read you took the kids away in it though!, my wife got a lift home in one a couple of years ago, my wife is 5'7 and slight, she had to lay across the rear seats, no wear for her size 5 feet or head for that matter! Fire brigade would have had to be called to cut the roof off had i gotten in the back!

I do like these motors; have been half tempted with one of these for the wife. Would love to get her a Z4 but I can't fit in the damned things whereas a TT I can wink

Will have a look into them in the New Year for her as I know she's getting sick of her noddy car (Honda Jazz) biggrinrolleyes

A lot of car for the £££ and a V6 to boot; can't complain!

Yeah I was surprised it was up for what it was, can’t complain about the price or the trade in we got on the Focus either tbh.

As for kids in the back.. it was a 2 n half hour drive both ways stopped once for refreshments but all in all not a bad trip with 90% motorway driving..

Trick is to pump seats up instead of forwards then they can slide feet underneath wink

Great car, had a cabriolet same year, gearbox and engine - never put a foot wrong. Engine has a stonking midrange!

Yep, nice colour combo and they've aged really well. You wouldn't know it was 10+ years old.

Enjoy!

Good cars and they go for very little.

The performance of the 3.2 is okish and it does make a decent sound sound unlike the 1.8t that sounds like a hair drier. I secretly enjoyed driving them and I’ve always felt they feel a bit special inside.

I actually quite liked it and I think they’ve aged really well. Your car still looks modern and it’s really nice looking car.

Good buy and very rare in a mk2 with the 3.2

They have aged very well, and still look like a new car, dateless plate on that and you’d be none the wiser

The 3.2 VR6 makes a very good noise and unless your Astra has had some tweaks the Wife’s TT would be more than a match

Looks lovely, enjoy.

Same year, exterior/interior colours, engine, gearbox and spec as mine - except for nav.

Electric spoiler FTW.

The boot is surprisingly large, shallow, but still large.
