Hi PH Gods,

I'm looking to remove a LPG kit from a Lexus. What am I letting myself in for?!

Does it work to just remove the tank and just cap it all off? Or are there electrical jobs that will mess the car up if they are not sorted too, for example?
TIA
David

You can just remove the tank if you want to, the system just won't work on gas any more. To properly remove it you'll need to take the injectors out of the manifold and seal up the holes they will leave, get rid of the piggyback ECU, evaporator, gas lines, electrics etc.

Assuming they have drilled the manifold. when i had a kit fitted to my old accord, the guy used some form of twin adapter to allow injectors for both fuel in the same port (from memory),

As for the original quesiton, pretty much what's suggested here. There's a piggy back ECU some wiring, a switch to operate the system. There's a tank, pipes, a filter etc etc. If you just removed the tank though and switched off the system, then it would operate in exactly the same way as if it had ran out of LPG. The car will just run on petrol.
