October Photo Competition

This months subject is: "Rain".
The weather is never always on our side, but we must carry on sometimes, so thought this subject may be interesting to see how each person captures this weather in any form.
Seems the weather has completely turned, well, up here in the North West, be a good time to get out and capture some fresh images for this brief
Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please do get out with your gear if you have safe opportunity etc.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
You can only submit one, and only one photo.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

So, judgment day - no hanging about here, perhaps a tricky one this month, or people just couldnt be bothed 
ha.
Either way, we had a few great entries, all were bang on the brief.

Yes, another bird one (very close call for 2nd place this was), but this was great also - great vision to see this but focus on the rain in the foreground instead - nice!So over to nre - well done all for a great effort
