Whats peoples thoughts on the above as a road car ?
Father is looking to upgrade his 2018 Performante so we test drove the other 2 today.

Be interested to hear others thoughts as I have to say of the bunch I still preferred the Performante as a road car

STO doesn't make much sense as a road car IMHO.

I have an EVO RWD Spyder and I'm amazed at the split personalty of the car: Strada vs Sort & Corsa.

You could definitely daily driver it I reckon.

That said, I would have gone Performante Spyder were it not for the seat options available.

Sports seat in EVO is brilliant in terms of looks, comfort & doesn't make my head stick out above the windscreen!

Huracan Evo a clear winner for the road car. Forget RWD or the Halfords bits on the Perf. Evo has much better tech too.

The new sports seats and akrapovic race exhaust can now be retro fitted to Performante which is what I will suggesting to my father to refresh it.

Apart from RWS what's the new tech on the EVO.
Forget the MMI that's pants in both and as far as I'm aware RWS is not available on RWD ?

I was doing disappointed by STO.
It looks mental but sounds pants below 4500rpm when the valves open.
Also standard stereo is compete waste of time.
It did hook up quite well on the new tyres but still not as assured as the 4WD Performante

RWD Evo is noticeably sharper to drive than the 4WD cars, with front being more responsive.
You'll obviously lose the 4WD 'all weather' attributes, but there was no problem with traction on my RWD.
RWD is a no-brainer for me, STO upgrade depends on taste, budget, value to you

I'm hoping to have a drive of the STO early 2022. What was your thoughts on the front end feel? Was it sharper, more eager to bite into the apex?
I have LP580-2, so considering next move.

TBH it was a 30 min test drive on damp roads so I didn't drive it hard enough to notice a huge difference between the 3 models.
The new tyres seem to warm up quicker and we're fairly decent given they were the track spec ones.

The biggest disappointment for me was the sound.
Performante was far more tune full but again I wasn't red lining it on damp public roads.
I'm sure it will excel on the track but my father is 60 and not into track days so I didn't see the benefit of changing his Performante other than it's 3 years old and got 10,000 miles on it. I'm fortunate to drive all his cars and it's his money so I'm not going to argue with him but if it was my money I'm not sure it's an upgrade at all as a road going car

I have driven all 3 now.

I like the STO, I didn't initially. Thought it was fugly but IRL its stunning, unless of course you let a 8 year old choose the colour scheme for you. Out of them all, it has the most drama and event pre drive. My test drive was also on the road, conditions decent and willing co pilot! It shifts but then they all do, definitely felt race car but didn't give me that "holy f**k" when you plant it, its quicker than an EVO but definitely don't pick up as well as a Perf. The noise is muted too, the Perf and Evo are louder, then when you open it up its about the same. That was always at the back of my mind although easily changeable. New seats in the EVO and STO are OK but very muted, there is an instant disconnect with your arse and the car. "Comfort" seats are even worse. I cannot state enough, the Carbon buckets transform a H but they are not easy to live with if you are not in your prime or simply don't fit.

I have no doubt its a track weapon but with the "fun" of RWD. I don't think its as quick as the perf round the track either otherwise Lambo would have plastered the times all over the place. The "new tech" is arguably pointless. My biggest issue with the STO is the cost, its no better than a perf but costs a shed loads more.

You can look at the Evo anyway you like, the Evo is a downgrade to the STO and Perf. Its ultimately, an updated with new "tech", normal H and genuinely lacks that drama compared to the other 2, don't get me wrong it has drama but not of the levels of the other 2. A 2WD flavour would make it more "fun" than a 4WD option but sacrifices that extra performance. It is however a very liveable and more practical car to pop along to the local "cars and coffee" on a Sunday morning. A bucket seat Perf is not a great daily and the jury would be out on a comfort or sport seat version, same with a STO. Despite this I would personally be happy to run all 3 as road cars as ultimately all 3 are bloody brilliant.

Pretty much how I see it.
My suggestion to my father has been keep the Performante but upgrade to the new sport seats.
He is too old to live with the full bucket seats.
I think Lamborghini want £10k to match the new seats to the current engraved colour scheme which is cheaper than the other 2 alternatives.

I'm happy at 30 to drive his STO and look, as top gear suggested, a pollock but I'm not sure it befits a 60 yr old as well.

Presumably the huracans replacement is a V6 hybrid so this could be the last hoorah for the NA V10
