I’m about to press the button on a four year old Range Rover and I want a three year extended warranty. I can get quotes, but has anyone good or bad experiences when claiming? Any recommendations for a reliable warranty provider?

If it's a 3.0 V6 you'll want to check the company covers the crankshaft issue, so checking land rover specific forums and searching "warranty" on there may pull up some good/bad experiences!

Is getting a JLR warranty an option?

Manufacturer warranties tend to be better than the third party ones, even those backed by the great Quentin Wilson and sold to cover Ferraris!!

From the LR extended warranty page.........

"This insurance is provided by Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration, a trading style of Car Care Plan Limited on behalf of Jaguar Land Rover Limited. Car Care Plan Limited is a company registered in the UK and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Financial Services Register number: 309268."

So a third party one, just with a shiny wrapper

I looked into it but, having provided the vehicle details the site said “No products were available”, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Having checked the main dealer network it looks like used prices are on the way down so I’ve decided to keep looking for a JLR-supplied car and then I’ll get their warranty and feel better!!
