Dealer Registration of New Car (Any DVLA Office?)

Seriously?Do you know what percentage of cars that reside in your locality are actually local reg plates that you need to avoid standing out?
Do you live in an area of no through roads so that outsiders can’t pass through the area?

I think it's all automated but if it annoys you thatuch you could just buy a cheap private plate from DVLA. In reality though, no one will notice or care that your car does not have a local registration number.
I've just peered out of my office window here in Taunton over to the pay and display opposite.
I can see two Ws, as you'd expect, but then there's an S, an F a G and an H.
I'd be surprised if anyone other than us car nerds notices or even know what the regs denote.
There were rare occasions when I was conscious the CRV we bought off my Aunt and Uncle in Horley - registered LP04 - might have made us look like Grockles when we headed to Lyme, Sidmouth etc. But we never encountered any pitchforks as a result!
That was replaced by a leased Tiguan - DK65 - and a leased Disco Sport - GN18 - so our regs have been all over the place. The current Civic is WV, so nice and local, but we've put an AC12 plate on it. So, unless you're a Line of Duty fan who can believe there are weirdos who spend £250 on a plate for a laugh, then perhaps you'd settle on us being East Anglian immigrants.

I bring a number of new vehicles into my business each year and do not think its an option for you. Dealers have not used local DVLA offices for years - not since AFRL came in many years ago - its now called RaV - and everything is done online with the dealers location automatically supplying the prefix. .
What you are wanting to achieve is nigh-on impossible I would have thought.

Having a local plate is a thing for me too - WK or WL.
Goes back to childhood holidays, when Cornish cars had plates ending in AF, CV or RL.
I'm convinced that cars with local plates get treated differently by other local motorists. I don't want to be mistaken for an emmet. Quite a few cars here with non-Cornish plates carry a St. Piran's Cross (Cornish flag) sticker.

It must be possible, but I imagine dealers wouldn’t be arsed to do it
At work we would buy large numbers of vehicles and the core fleet would just be registered locally
Vehicles for covert/specialist use would be registered out of area, oddly for being based in England, lots in Scotland
Our fleet Dept was/is able to do it

Less then 1% of the people on the road will care what your reg prefix is
