Why do you think it's an OBD port? Looks like a wiring connector.

Definitely not an OBD port, more car details such as age required to tell you where it should be, but normally just in front of where your knees will be, just below the bottom of the fascia.

It looks like you're looking in the right area for an OBD port. I don't know anything about that model but in my experience all OBD ports have the standard connector and that isn't it.

There are various web sites that will tell you where OBD ports are for a given make/model so I suggest you jump on your favorite search engine.

That's a DDL, or Diagnostics Data Link, which was the protocol used on pre-2005 Nissan vehicles. An OBD reader is not compatible with that socket.

Interesting, I did some googling and reckon it is a 14-pin ODB port (As opposed to the normal 16) and is sometimes called a 'Nissan' port.
I have bought an adaptor off Amazon, will be here in 3 weeks

I have had codes read for this car before, and 2 different sources online say this is the ODB port.

Despite being built in 2002, this really is a late 80s/ very early 90s car (Built on the Ford Maverick platform I believe)

Thanks guys
