My old ryobi petrol strimmer is now 20 years old and starting to give a bit of bother.
Along with now having a bigger garden and a stretch of river bank to maintain I’m considering buying a new brush cutter. Any recommendations around the £200/250 mark?

Just bought the Toolstation Hawksmoor (their own brand) 50cc jobby and so far its been excellent and an instant starter. £150 with brush cutter and line reel. Spent £15 on a better harness on amazon.

Had the swcrewfix titan on before and it went back. Got through two. Crap cab with a choke that is set wrong. Nothing lost in terms of money.

I'm a few times a year user (brambles). If it were more I'd spend more and get a stihl.

FYI the difference between 25cc and 50cc with the brush cutter on is night and day with the latter not getting bogged at all.
