Amazing how you think you'll just buy something and predictably there's an absolute minefield of options biggrin

I need some towels.

Nothing crazy just hand towels and bath towels as the current ones are years old and tend to go like cardboard.

I've never been in a hotel and used a bad towel and I'm guessing they pay peanuts for theirs.

But where from?

I stopped using towels at home a long time ago. I now use microfibre towels from Decathlon.

Much easier to wash & store etc.

They rent them, from places like Elis.

I had a tour once, they even have a special area for the top class five star hotels stuff and they’re delivered folded to specifications.

They don’t wash them like you either, its either steam or a chemical process.

Thanks all and the two links above sum it up nicely.

Both claim to be trade suppliers both have nice "retail" storefronts for Joe Public to buy from them.

Prices are also petty different.

Sadly I'm not The Savoy so really I just want decent quality at a fair price and ideally something a bit better and at a lower cost than if I wondered into M&S or John Lewis or somewhere on the high street.

Get the slightly flawed or discontinued coloured ones in the JL sales and you'll get there top line soft and fluffy ones for a mid price point.
Plus dry them or finish drying them in a tumble drying ideally in towel setting and they'll retain the finish and don't got flat and cardboard like.

This. We always stick towels in the tumble dryer for 30 minutes before they are fully dry. Makes a massive difference.

We have a lot of expensive bedding, including Tiele, but it's all been gifted through Mrs J's Instagram. We've never received towels to the best of my knowledge, it's probably reserved for guests if we have.

For towels, I'm pretty certain she buys them from H&M Home nowadays. I'm pretty certain they'll be cheaper than John Lewis or M&S but won't be thick and fluffy like in a luxury hotel! I always find hotel towels are either amazing or like thin cardboard depending upon how much you've paid for the room.

I used this outfit to get some bath mats to use in our shower room after seeing them in a hotel: https://www.linenconnect.com .

Not hotel suppliers to my knowledge but the White Co. do a decent white fluffy towel that washes well.

These are incredible for camping/beach use. Not for home though, jeez.

Sheridan linen / towels is about as good as you can readily buy Id say. Their top of the range towels are top hotel grade for sure.

Buy them at justlinen.co.uk but wait for a bank holiday as they always offer extra 10-20% discount on those weekends. You can get a full set for surprisingly little money considering the quality.

I’m afraid you have lost any semblance of credibility you may have had, needlessly wrapping yourself in synthetic fibres like some kind of perverted caterpillar, keen to rub his glans on something other than the other, other natural fibre.

John Lewis towels are good ime. Last a long time, keep their colour, shape and fluffiness if you dry in a dryer

Good quality cotton towels are not cheap anywhere. John Lewis prices represent reasonable value and are competitive for the quality level they offer. There are plenty of more luxury options available but you’ll pay..

I used to know very well the family that own RH. Every time we went out for a meal with them they'd examine the table table cloths and more often than not would say: 'yep, one of ours' lol
