Does interest on money in escrow count towards PSA?

I’m halfway through buying a house and there’s been roughly a two-month gap between completing on the house I sold, and the house I’m buying.

The equity’s been sitting in escrow with my solicitors during this time, and I believe I’m entitled to the interest earned during this time.

Does this count towards my personal savings allowance? I’m a higher-rate taxpayer and I’d rather not have to submit a tax return, but I suspect I might have to.
