Hi,

We have had an extension done recently (which included running some new drains) and I am doing the garden/patio work outside.

The builders have left some drains which are significantly less than pretty. They look like this:

They are all within the area which will be the lawn and are all slightly proud of the surface. Moving them will be quite difficult (!) but I am guessing that trimming them down slightly won't be hard and I can then put lids on which are more pleasing. What would anyone suggest? Also, what are such lids called? I simply don't know the term to feed into Google!

All suggestions welcome, thanks.

You just want recessed manhole covers. solo slide probably the nicest for semi sensible money. We use covers from mcd manholes which are 90% as good but a lot cheaper.

Google ‘grass top manhole cover’, might be suitable.

Recessed cover

Once the grass starts growing you'll hardly notice them
