Advice on selling online business projects
Discussion
Hi all,
I have online business, selling own software with licenses ( turnkey website solutions ).
Due to lack of time for all my digital products, I decided to sell some to good hands.
Need advice on selling it quickly without a broker and marketplaces (huge unfair fees and a lot of time wasters).
So what's the easiest way to find buyers?
Thanks for any tips and advice.

Can't say I think broker/marketplace fees are "unfair" if you want exposure to a big pool of buyers or guidance by a professional. I have online business, selling own software with licenses ( turnkey website solutions ).

However, if you don't want to go the broker route, I would reach out to:
- Competitors (but prepare to give your competition every single bit of detail about your business)
- Companies who have bought a company like yours before
- Companies who compete with companies who have bought a company like yours before
- Companies where your service would be an obvious add-on (e.g. digital transformation consultancies in your case, maybe?)
- Suppliers who may want to vertically expand
Etc

To sell your assets quickly will require an amount of time you do not have.Due to lack of time for all my digital products, I decided to sell some to good hands.

A competent broker or similar professional will know the market, who to approach and do all of the hard work so you can spend your time on your other digital products.
Whether or not their fees are 'huge and unfair' needs to be balanced with the money you'd loose (or not make) by attempting to do it yourself.
The fact that you have come here to ask the question suggests this isn't something you're familiar with. If so, there's the added risk that you undersell the product. A professional broker on the other hand is motivated to get you the best price as this is reflected in their fees.
Best advice is to use a pro.
HTH.

All of this and try Venture Capital investment companies that have a portfolio of businesses. They will have the money and expertise to move quickly and more usefully be able to absorb your business into another as I presume you will not want to be tied into the ongoing business. And the fact YOU are effectively the business is the greatest problem any small business has when selling, driving down the valuation. However, if you don't want to go the broker route, I would reach out to:
