Excellent pedegree and history, nice to see a low mileage car, however that engine bay could be much better prepared for photography, the dirtiest engine bay I have seen for some time. But lovely car overall.

Lovely car, pity the engine bay wasn't cleaned.

Brother just had brain surgery, hence sale. Made conscious decision to leave engine bay as is without a perceived attempt to gloss it. Debatable I agree but no oil leaks and nothing amiss is very clear which would not show if we had scrubbed it.

Yes can see it from your viewpoint let it be seen in its natural state, like I said nice car and spec, I wipe the plastics down every wash with a synthetic shammy and I don't like to see a false silicone shine just a natural look. I do apologise about the double entries, it appeared that my comment hadn't been registered so I pressed return again. Old gimmer and tech don't mix.

I have absolutely no need but so much want for this, always fancied one. Looks like a great example!

There can't be many about with this sort of mileage, genuine low mileage and sparingly used.

Indeed, the odd Japanese import pops up but this looks lovely.

Small mistake in the listing: MK6 R uses Gen 4 Haldex, Gen 5 came out with the MK7.

he Golf R is powered by a 1,984 cc (2.0 L; 121.1 cu in) FSI turbocharged Inline-four engine that produces 270 PS (266 bhp; 199 kW) at 6000 rpm and 350 N⋅m (258 lb⋅ft) at 2500-5000 rpm of torque. VW claims the car can get from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.5 seconds for DSG equipped models, or 5.7 seconds for cars fitted with a manual transmission.[15] It employs a revised (5th-generation) Haldex 4motion all-wheel drive system.
Extract from VW tech spec. Not sure what your angle is, there is no attempt at deception here if that is your implication. Very stressful at this point in our lives!

Angle? I don't have one, I paid a compliment and pointed out a small mistake. Nothing more.
