Hi There,

Can you confirm the countries this car has been kept in ?

Also can you confirm it has been insured with no issue due to the modifications in the UK.

Hi thanks for the enquiry.

I was told by the previous owner the car was originally an home market Italian vehicle, which was initially exported to Malta and then sold to the previous owner to me on 16/01/2015 (invoice for sale on file).

All the modifications are stated to my current insurer and there were no issues with insuring the car - as with any modified vehicle you may have to go to an insurance company that specialises with this type of cover

Hi,

I notice on the V5 it still showing its original engine displacement - has the DVLA not been notified about the engine swap? Also the power and engine number - are these the original engines also?

Was there a reason for not getting the V5 updated? Is the relevant paperwork available?

Also has this been an issue with current insurers?

Thanks!

Hello thanks for enquiry,

When I bought the car from the previous owner, he had already uprated the engine to a 2.0 Lit Nord and advised me of the swap.

Being honest I had never actually properly looked at the log book to verify he had updated it and it was only when I was reviewing the photo of the ad I actually realised it had never been changed to reflect this fact!

I have always insured it as a 2.0 Lit and it has never caused any issues, the likes of Adrian Flux, Performance Direct and even the Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) insurance will offer cover for upgraded and modified vehicles.

It would best best, if the vehicle sells, when changing owner details to update the engine cc and replacement engine number to correct this oversight - I really don't want to do this right now, as potentially I would not have the V5 for the new owner to sign.

The first section (1) on any V5, allows you to 'Change my vehicle details' highlighted in light blue It allows you to update the cylinder capacity and the engine number, which is clearly stamped on the block. You do not have to inform them of the power output of the engine.

Hope this info clarifies, please let me know if anything is not clear

Is there a reccomended interval for any rebuild requirements for the engine? If so, how many miles since build or running hours? Was there any documented dyno results once the engine was run in? Also a rough weight of the car in current trim? Many thanks
