Id say yes they are specs. Ive been through there in the day and the cams look identical to the ones in cheshire on the M6. When I drove through at night you could even see the IR illuminators on them glowing. They do seem to be pointed in strange directions / lanes... anyone else any info?

They're almost certainly SPECS cameras, although I agree about them pointing in a strange direction - they only seem to cover the southbound contraflow lane. Driving back from Liverpool on Sunday night, I saw what look like SPECS mounting posts being errected on the M62 east and west near Burtonwood services, and the M6 north and south around Knutsford. I'm pretty sure they're SPECS, look just like the photos of the Nottingham trials. B*stards. Pete p.s. Simple solution: avoid the M6 and use the A41 - much more stimulating ;-) Edited by pete on Wednesday 1st August 12:39

Well someone with a Geodesy drive past and press the button. £50 easy money I'd do it myself but its the other end of the country and I'd probably get done by them and get a £60 fixed penalty !!!!!!!
