Hi Guys

We are booking our trip to the Ring but have noticed they have a 95db noise limit at the ring....

I have read on a few sites that there is however an unofficial limit of 100db...

Has anyone been in a Tubi'd Gallardo?? I don't want to get there and have to sit it out...

2 shan,

I'm going to the ring in May this year with my Tubi'd & de-catted Gallardo. I've heard various stories about them doing random noise tests in the car park. All advice I've seen is don't be a d..k in the car park revving etc and toottle out till you get the other side of the bridge.
I guess we'll see if I get 'asked' to leave the circuit. When are you thinking of going?

Andy.

Cheers Andy

I saw the articles about keeping the noise down in the car parks and also keeping your keys out of the ignition so they can’t randomly test you.

We are planning to travel over weekend of the 14th April, as this seems to fit in with everyone travelling... and the Ring availability..

Out of interest how does having the CAT's removed change the performance of the car, how much noisier is it than before and has it caused any problems for you reliability wise?

Thanks
Shan

I have seen (heard!) Tubi'd Gallardo's at the Ring before and I've not seen them have a problem. I think the key is keeping revs / noise down in the car park, and definitely avoiding racing away from the barrier - hold off putting your foot down until after the bridge.

Also watch out over Adenau Bridge - there is a speed limit there in any event - but there are more marshals who could report back a very noisy car.

Good advice on the link below.

Have fun - I took my G. there last year and it was simply fabulous! It will certainly be going again.

Kind regards

Steve
