I'D GO FOR THE F1----------I'VE GOT THAT ON MY 360 AND IT'S 100x BETTER THAN ON MY 355--------IF IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR SCHUMAKER THEN IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!

Really???

I can confirm that the F1 system in the F1 car is light years away from what the 360 offers! in fact it bears NO relation to it at all!but its comments like the one above that keep ferrari in business!

It is debatable actually if the 360 F1 was so much better than the 355F1 either way increasing sophistication of electronics renders the system outdated very quickly and when its out of warranty look for the bills. 355F1 pump is 9K.
The one thing all the systems lack is consistency, when th flywheel heats up and your in traffic its not that good.
As to what is better- if its out of warranty a manual for sure

Hi

Has anyone got experience of a manual compared to an F1 gearbox.

I have test driven an F1 gearbox and was pleasantly surprised but did think u miss out on the 'fun' of gearchange.

Any opinions appreciated.

thanks

I love the F1, my 360 is an early one, but found a guy who can upgrade the software and make it 'like a serious race car', so we shall see.

Do like manuals too though, just prefer F1 at the moment.

F1 vs Manual is all down to personal taste, buy which one you want, not what anyone else thinks you should get !!

Which one is kinder on your clutch? I seen a Gallardo for sale which had a new clutch at 3000 miles

My F1 has done 17,000 miles and had the clutch changed once, recently. I don't know about manual 360's.

I decided it was purely down to personal taste, advantages to both, I opted for manual in the end, simply because I found the right car, I'd have bought it if it had been F1 That doesn't help at all does it!

Half the problem with Gallardos eating clutches are people not knowing how to drive them properly and just burning them out in no time.
