Does anyone know where I can buy a set of BBS wheels, Emailed Erich Gissler
at BBS, and as yet no reply, want a set of the new aliminium ones and a replacement
centre for the magnesium rear, trouble is I need them fast (trackdays to do), will I have to wait
or do BBS have them on the shelf?

Paul - I had to wait 3 months for mine. Sorry, not what you want to hear, I know.

Try this contact at BBS Motorsport I use. I've got wheels for my 993 GT2 in the past in around a week.

Paul, they aren't giving them away are they!!!

Are they the sizes you have now? I am suprised 9" & 11" rears fit under a low narrow bodied 993.

Paul has these wheel sizes on already. I wondered about this myself. I was thinking could I have 9 and 11 inch wheels on in the future?

I appreciate more rubber on track, potentially more grip etc....but is there any advantage in larger sizes running standard suspension?...or is that more expense etc...

I thought riviera Bens were standard 8 x 10"...they looked good to me!

I have just double checked the sizes and

Fronts 10" overall, Rears 12" overall!, does that sound like 9 and 11's?

Well confused now

Paul, its suspension is anything but std, its all but solid, almost no grip in the wet at Spa,
but when it dried

How long are your Mag BBS wheels lasting. I cracked four spokes of one wheel at Donnington once, then crack a second wheel a month later. These are both rear wheels and were about 2 years old at the time, and I replaced the centres with new mags ones again which are now about 2 years old without a problem so far (touch wood).

I also had air leaking out between the three pieces of the one rim at the Ring last month, and because there was no tyre support over the weekend I happily drove 30 odd laps topping the pressure up each lap. However I took it to Manthey on the Monday and it turned out that the inner rim was splitting along the weld near where the bolts are and could have completely failed. Let’s just say I was lucky not to have a big accident, and take it as a warning to anyone else who may have similar symptoms thinking it might be something else.

Needlesstosay, Manthey had the parts in stock and repaired the rim while I waited. I am just thinking perhaps I ought to replace the other inner/outer rims as a matter of course given the wheels are now at least 4 years old?
