Sorry if this question has been done before but I need to book the old girl in for her first service and just wanted to know if anyone had any feedback on Porsche Mayfair for servicing? They are my closest OPC but I haven't read any reviews on their service (but plenty of good feedback on Porsche East London).

So has anyone used Porsche Mayfair for service and if so were they any good? If not the car is going to East London. Car is an 04 996 C4S due for 12000 mile service.

Thanks stacks
Loony

Well if indeed this is true it does reduce the decision to slightly simplier choice. The official website seems a tas misleading if this is the case - is 'aftersales service' just a cup of coffee and and a low trade in figure?

Now what's East London's phone number.....

Well, i asked if they could install a PSE, and they said they had no workshop on site, and to speak to West London, so no idea what aftersales service is!!

Reading, West London and Mayfair are part of the same management so I guess Mayfair customers are referred to West London for service.

East London always been top banana for me. Also had one done at Cambridge as I was flying from Stansted. Also excellent.

Hatfield have a brand new showroom nearby to me up the A1, very smart. No experience of their service yet though.

I liked Silverstone OPC, but that ain't exactly close.

Correct. You'll need to go to West London (which can be a real nuisance given how busy the A4 gets)

Hmmmmm..... West London a lot closer than East. Does anyone have experience of West London OPC service?

As the biggest dealer surely they offer top quality service?

I'd like to submit the above to the 'Naive Statement of the Year' awards.

I think I'm looking good for the 'You Can't Be Serious' category. Do I get to meet Jordan?

I've used them and they were fine, no problems apart from their service mgr claiming RMS wasn't an issue!

Well technically it isn't if you own a diesel Cayenne....

And next he'll be saying ceramic brakes are durable....

It did kind of wind me up when it cost me £850 to repair RMS 6 months later.

I mean why not "it affects a few cars but its not a major issue" but no, flat denial it was an issue!!?!?!

PEL are to be avoided based on my experience on two occasions.

1. Took in my wifes Boxster S in for handbrake adjustment only to find that they didnt do the job properly and it ceased a couple of miles down the road (furtunately) had the car taken in on lowloader to Hatfield and they got it sorted straight away.

2. They took in my brand new (pristine) 996 for its first service and returned it with a ruddy great big dent round the back!! then tried to blame me for the damage... Fortunately I made sure I had an inspection sheet filled in before I let them take the car... Got it sorted with Porsche UK but a load of unnecessary hassle netherthanless.

Hope this helps.

Had my Caynne S serbiced in West London. Seemed ok and my car returned undamaged and clean. Only thing is... make sure you give them written instructions (if you require specific issues to be addressed) because telling them over the phone goes from one ear, straight out the other!

Always though West London were OK till today. Bought car from them (new) and had it serviced by them for last 3 years (so they've made a bit of money from me).
Had it serviced couple of weeks ago and they agreed to polish out some minor scratches for me (that incidently they had caused last time car was in).

Picked car up after serviced and car not cleaned (not big problem) AND scratches not polished out. Arrange to book it in today for scratches to be sorted.

Turn up this morning and the following occurs:

OPC "well we are really busy so I'm not sure we'll be able to do the polishing out today ... but I can clean it for you".

Me: "Excuse me? Have I driven along a busy a4 out of London to have my car cleaned?"

OPC "We'll do what we can I am after all doing you a favour"

Me "You are doing me a favour? Can I ask the service manager if he is doing me a favour too"

OPC "Don't get upset"

etc....

Finally they agreed to do it. But I don't expect they get any more of my business in the future. What happened to customer service?

East London every time.

I have used West London twice. Firstly for the Mk2 GT3 for a recall. Took them 3 days to do this. Then the RS went in for a recall. When I collected the car I was rushed out of the showroom. Thought to myself this is a little strange so I checked the car over to find a kerbed wheel. Went straight back in to confront them, at first they denied it was them.

Fortunetly the paper trail pointed to them, and I got a new wheel. It was just the way they went about it.
