924S + KW V3 = Happiness
Discussion
Is mine the silliest 924S yet?
Bought a 924S in good mechanical condition (for 18 years and 144000 miles)in November, and been throwing money at it ever since . First had to get a new rear wing & sills (Thanks Specialised Paint, Redding), but now comes the fun bit: I just had a KW Variant 3 suspension fitted, and some lindsey racing camber mounts (the previous owner already fitted a Weltmeister strut brace & rear ARB). A geometry check later, and I'm a very happy bunny. Thank you Danny at JZMachtech.
All we now need are some brakes, some decent seats, and a bit of experimentation with rear wheel tyre sizes: Am running 225/50 16s on D90s, which is much too much for the power. Would be handy if an S2 four drops in the front at any point, though...
Finally a track car I can afford!

You could try a set of 15" like teledials, they are 7j front and rear and run cheaper 205/50R15's all round. This would probably put your speedo out (but only a little) and you might want the geometry re-dun again but considering the amount of power and the weight of the 924S. This might be a better compromise.
Brakes wise the 924/early 944 sliding calipers work well (if the set up is in good condition), might be worth trying some track biased pads like EBC red stuff. If you still want better brakes Willwood do a four pot caliper kit which is a straight swap or source some 944 S2/early Turbo calipers but will also need, hubs, spindles and struts etc..

Hi thanks to both,
I agree, I already have a set of 15" teles, I just *hate* the look of them. They'll do nicely for track, though.
As for the brakes, I'm trying to source some Willwoods. Strangely they're a lot cheeper from Rennbay in the 'states than over here..
Colin, I've mailed you.
