After the first night of using my newly bought Car Cover (Euro 425 incl. delivery), I found my lovely and clean hood was covered with spots in exact the same colour as the cover. The spots cannot be removed by brushing them off. They seem to be static.

Also in the morning my car is soaking wet. Leaving the cover on till afternoon results in watermarks all over the car and in need of a complete wash. Also strangely enough the car has "white slimy" spots after removing the cover in the morning.

First comments of The Cover Company was not very encouraging. In 2nd reply to my complaints they want it returned for investigation leaving me temporarily coverless. Anyway this specific cover is worthless and one can better do without.

I will be buying me a Leven hoodcover for the time being.

Any comments on the above? It seems the problems which I have encountered should be only for this specific cover as otherwise I find it difficult to beleive they would sell any cover especially at these prices. For this price one expects to buy the best.

I understand your predicament Edited due to the no name and Shame policy that runs on PH readit RULES Cheers BB

I've had one for 18 months for my Griffith .... I've had no problems whatsoever - I think some on this forum have had problems but not me, it's kept the car clean and dry, is well ftted and light.

Send it back and see what they say.

Same problem here. I bought their Noah fitted cover. First time it drizzled a bit the car was soaked under the cover and lots of nasty water marks. I called them and they pointed out that it was weatherproof not rainproof...or words to that effect there is something on the website to that effect. Its a crap cover. (apologies if this breaks name and shame but if its a common problem its worth sharing).

Fair play to the cover company though they offered a full refund...but due to some personal circumstances at the time I never got around to returning it. So now I take it with me in the summer months to sling over the car if Im parked under a tree.

Replaced it with a 'Moltex large' from Hamilton classics ltd - only £106 at the time inc VAT and its fab. Soft underside so no rubbing on the paint and the car is always bone dry under the cover. Its breathable so no condensation probs. Ok its not a custom fit like the noah cover but it fits well and it does the job very nicely.

I had the same problem, let water through and after 3 months it began to tear, totally useless. I bought an Argos heavy duty cover for £25, fantastic value and fits the Chim a treat.

This is the one I used. It's the only one I could find that you can put on a wet car.
