Is it possible to use a psd file in Dreamweaver? I'm a real, real novice with DW!!!

I have a template (freebie off the web) and I would have thought it would just be a case of doing an Insert Image but it doesn't seem to work

Any suggestions?

It'll be a Photoshop template. If you want to use it in Dreamweaver it'll need to sliced up, and the relevant bits inserted in.

I meant the template is a DW template.

The psd file has been unlayered so that it doesn't have a white background - have I still got to slice it up? Hope not as I don't have a clue how to do that!!

In which case you may have to make some of the changes in Photoshop and save the changed bit into a web compatible image, ie jpg, gif, png

The Photoshop files normally have guides in them showing how the image is sliced up, and then saved into the corresponding images in Dreamweaver.
