Its been there for a while for some reason? One of the more rare Clubsport spec cars in a great colour, i'm surprised its still there myself... maybe there's room for some serious negotiation?
If I get chance and its still for sale in the next few weeks, i'm definately going to have a look at this one myself.

looks ok, id rather have the big seats, i didnt know you could get GT2s without them?
....they are surprisingly good. I would prefer the buckets but i couldn't get those past my good lady....i didn't want to push my luck Infact unless you are into serious track work then the sport seats are probably more practical than the buckets.
It looks a good car, the residuals seam to have strengthened so there may be a little movement in the price but not much. The 996 gt2 is the performance sleeper that hasn't been given it's dues. Buy it, you won't regret it. I find myself going into the garage unnecessary just to look at it!
I don't know if I should post this in your topic or make a new one, but anyway...
Aren't the Mk.2 996 GT2s a bit of a well kept secret. I mean there's a very small number of them about, they apparently handled so much better, and didn't try and kill you when you were caught napping. I have a slight feeling that the very few Mk.2 GT2s there are will fetch an hefty premium over the Mk.1 in the future, if word does spread around. However, they may stay a well kept secret, which is fine by me.

What is the difference between a MK1 and a Mk2? I thought that MK2 came out in 2004 and was indentified by its GT3 style wheels? Or did the Mk2 come out before 2004?

Think it had some suspension mods, carbon fibre wing+mirrors and the GT3 type wheels.
Suspension mods which supposedly drastically improve the handling, yet no one I've spoken to can tell me what they are But rumours abound claiming revised geometry, revised spring and damper rates and revised front uprights.
HP incresed from 462 to 483.
GT3 style wheels, lighter than the MK 1 wheels apparently, but to a lazy git like me, more awkward to clean !
CF rear wing, mirrors and radiator cooling exhaust duct only standard on Clubsport cars (otherwise optional IIRC)
Mikes car at MT performance did have Nomex bucket seats fitted and likewise a rear cage when I roadtested it halfway through November.
The seats have been swapped with those from another GT2 (but as there were no mechanical differences between a "Comfort" and a Clubsport (unlike the MK1 GT3) the car could easily be converted back to a CS.
Note that the original steel CS cage (painted black), is not the same as the stainless Tequipment item that can be purchased from your friendly local OPC. To the best of my knowledge the original front section of the CS cage was not with the car when I viewed it.
Mike bid me very strong money for my MK1 GT3 against his car (a mere £10K more than my OPCs original bid ) and £5K more than a certain London based indy..... 2 syllables, first is the eccentric shaft that opens the valves in an internal combustion engine and sounds like dam. The second is a cough sweet that clears your nose (and eases a sore throat ) and sounds like dune.................

Thanks for the info. So the MK2 was more than just different wheels. There can't have been many bought to the UK as I haven't ever seen of or heard of one or ever seen one for sale.

There are very few about, although I don't think there are many numbers.
Nobody really knows much about them as Porsche didn't give it an official release.
Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the GT3 style alloys and the carbon wing were options. However any 2004-onwards GT2 will be a Mk2. Due to the small numbers sold I really doubt there'll be any around. I don't think I've ever seen any for sale. Maybe the owners are keeping them due to the rarity and improved driving experience.

GT3 style wheels std on all
carbon wing and mirrors std on CS, options on comfort
another MY04 change was that PCM2 and phone became cost options
