Yesterday i decided i would take the car out with the roof down, plenty layers on and a wooly hat, best part of the year so far, i forgot how good open air motoring is. Straight to some empty twisties and i was in my element...got some funny looks but as kathryn tate or whatever her name is "am i bothered"
have many of you had the roof down yet????

yup, had the roof down monday pm. beanie hat, bodywarmer, exhaust note ringing in the ears. what could be better? oh i know - parked up at school to collect children, young Korean chap with very little english walked past car, grinned hugely and nodded to me "velly cooool car". made my day.
ok so i'm easily pleased. am i bothered?

I've had the hood down alot these last couple of days. It was 10oC tonight when leaving work at 6.30pm - that's warmer than some summer evenings.
I do toy with the idea of a Caymen next......but then, more money, less flexibility.....maybe not!

Yep had mine down loads as well - actually at every given opportunity !!
I got one of those Smartchips aswell last year - makes a hellava difference being able to do it on the move, and when you close the roof remotely it actually closes the windows for you too ! (Never understood it wasn't designed that way originally - no doubt something to do with americans suing everyone for everything)
Good to see that there are enough enthousiasts around to exploit the full potential of open top motoring. In my Boxster times I had the roof open as much as possible.
Best memory is a blast over a mountain pass from Germany to Austria in Winter. It was -10 Celsius, the sun shining bright, about 5 cm of fresh snow on the street with hard snow underneath and no other cars around. Roof down, ski jacket and hat on, PSM off and hail opposite lock...

Nowhere near the same, but I have fairly regularly been hauling the roof panel of my 944 out and winding the windows down ... stays dry inside even when raining fairly hard as the airflow blows the water past the hole. (All goes a bit wrong when you have to stop at a junction tho'!)

Hey hey - no roof!
Show off
Had the roof down a few times this year. As for the pre-facelift thing that's not a problem. Air con on to max for 5 mins or so and it's plenty plyable enough to avoid cracking.
What about putting the roof back up post hoon? Doesn't it get cold again?
