First use of ND and sunset filter
Discussion
Hi
Well, after my request earlier this week on how to get Top Gear style pics this is my first effort, not to bad I think, it certainly has the look Im after. I used a Cokin ND4 and sunset filter with a 400D and kit lens.
Not the most exciting picture in the world but for a 5minute pi$$ about after work I am fairly happy, I'm looking forward to using better location's and my 205 to photograph!
One last thing, is the amount of vigentting (??) to be expected when using the Cokin system? I like what it does for this scenario but for landscape pics it's not something I would be after look's wise.

Are you using A Series? Then it's only supposed to be used for focal length over 28mm or something (could be 35mm), otherwise you'll see vignetting. 18mm would be too wide for it even for P Series, I think.

I'm using P series, that pic was taken a 22mm.

I'm afraid this one belongs to a friend, it currently has the extra chunky tyres and bucket seats, it almost fool's you into thinking it's a sporty car! My car is awaiting return from being re-sprayed so I have borrowed the 90 for everything from driving to photography! Thankfully he is a good sport..
As for driving on the road, I know exactly what you mean, the bulk of our work's fleet are 90s and 110s. Got to love that random vague steering which always seems to appear at the wrong moment!
