Blower, lens cloth, lens pen?

I need to buy one of the above. I have very good glasses cleaning cloths already for my specs, but I realise the coatings on camera lenses are very delicate.

What do you use?

glasses/lens cleaning cloth, never scratched anything, ever . . . do some reading on this subject, the concept that lens coatings are very delicate may not be correct . . .

Yes - if it was covered in sand then I wouldn't grind that in with a cloth, I'd blow it off, but other than that . . .

(As I have plenty to practise on...)

...as infrequently as possible!

Blower brush first - blow, blow, blow, followed by a light brushing round the lens and corners.

Optical wipe second, if necessary, carefully with as little pressure as possible

I have a rocket blower for dust and a lens pen for anything more stubborn. Only a few quid from Jessops, well worth the investment.

I started out with cleaning fluids, cloths, a blower etc...

Then I bought a lens pen - and will never use anything other than the lens pen again. Brush at one end to clean away the dust, and a wicked (capped) cleaning thingy at the other end.
