125s up to test, then after you pass your test its 33hp. You'd probably be better off trying Biker Banter though.

Any bike, 33bhp restriction for 2 years.

It doesn't cost much more to do the unrestricted course, if you're old enough why bother with 33bhp?

Has the law changed then? Surely over 21 is direct access and ride what you like.

If you're 21 you can do direct access (ie learn and take the test on a bigger bike then ride what you want when you pass) or you can do a standard test (on a 125) and be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. If you're under 21 you don't have that choice.

For the sake of £200 extra (or whatever it is these days) I'd do direct access and not have to put up with the frustration of being limited for 2 years.

Wouldnt the Restricted licence be easier to pass though than the Direct access?

(I'm not natural on a bike but by no means a numpty- just sadly not natural)

AFAIK the tests are the same but the bike is bigger.

See your other post....

yes the restricted is alledgedly easier - same test, but they seem to turn a blind eye to more wobbles/mistakes than the DAS.

The test is not actually difficult, and I'd say (this is always easy to say) if you only just struggle to pass the restricted you certainly shoudl not be allowed on the road - the DAS is not difficult and you can just as easily (if not more so) kill your self on a 125 or 33hp bike as a 'big' bike.

Do the DAS - learn to a high standard, even if it means a couple more days training.

Just my 2p
