We’ve now got some much better pictures of Zagato’s one-off Maserati coupe commissioned by a wealthy entrepreneur.

For what we know about the car so far, click on the link below to our previous story.

Wealthy entrepreneur? Guess you can't buy taste.

Looks like a stumpy kit car, with a longer wheelbase than the typical fiesta donor car.

However, I'm sure the lines where the side window meets the roof and rear window, are a direct copy of something else - I just can't picture it though. Anyone?

Looks like an overinflated "Porsche 928 beach toy" to me.

Horrible.

I am honestly yet to see a nice Zagato design.

Aston's are very similar there, and there was an Aston DB7 Zagato that had virtually the same arrangement.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of that Maser, but then, we aren't all the same and I like the exclusivity of it.

Zagato - one trick pony?

The rear side window leading up to the rear window - same as the DB7 Zagato and the Ferrari one off he did, as is the 'double bubble' roof and rear screen, as is the whole front end treatment.

I think he's just got lazy with these new designs - some of his old stuff was stunning, like the DB4 Zagato.

Yep knew I'd seen that rear window treatment before but didn't think it was as simple as just being on a number of other Zagatos.
It almost seems to be a constant theme like BMW's rear window kink.

Got to say though, this Maser is nearly a complete copy of the 575Z in terns of features

I take back what I said on the other post about wanting a Zagato bodied Masser. Jeesus thats fugly. I really like the 575Z, but although many of the same features are carried over, the proportions of this attempt look so wrong it should be scrapped immediatly. For some reason it makes me think of the Zagato/Costin bodied 450S and that wasnt exactly an excercise in beauty.

In fairness you don't need to be - it's the Maserati one man wanted, so popular consesus doesn't matter a jot.
