XP locking up - weird!

Nothing looks out of place.

Can you get the task manager up and running on the process tab and leave it on screen ordered by cpu activity. When the pc freezes see which processes are at the top of the list.

Is it 'random' or are you doing something at the time? Say downloading stuff? I spotted the Nvidia thing but not sure if you've just got an Nvidia GFX or a NForce based mobo... if the former ignore me If the latter try snagging the latest drivers from the Nvidia site.

Could be dodgy RAM or something overheating. Are the fans working and everything dusted? Try reseating the RAM.
