I've placed and advert in 'wanted'.

I'm selling the other German thang and looking for a move sideways....

I'm after a classic BMW, must be in excellent condition, my preference, in order:

E9 Coupe CSi/CSL (must be rust-free)
E24 M635CSi
E30 M3
E34 M5 (or Touring or Alpina B10 Bi T)

If anyone is looking to sell, or knows of something interesting up for sale, send me an email........

How deep are your pockets?

http://www.munichlegends.co.uk/sales/stock_details...

I believe Derin100 is readying his E30 M3 For sale, from what i've heard if you think his E28 528i was good this is even better!

or

B10 Bi turbo

or even rarer than a M635Csi a B10 E24 (1 of 12!)

Thanks for the links. I've been looking at the ML CSL for a while, VERY expensive though, as are most ML stock..........

My 2000 996 C4 Cab with 43k miles is a straight swap for a 1972 CSL eek But, perhaps that's just the way it is scratchchin

I think E9 CSL's seem very expensive in comparison to E9 Csi's considering the relatively small differences in spec. performance and weight (especially the heavily luxury specced UK CSL's) a lot to pay for the differences in spec - including fixed bucket seats (which you may find uncomfortable) and ally panels (which can dent and sag). 2800CS's seem like excellent value in comparison.

I don't disagree, a CSi would be fine. I'd rather have a good CSi than a rough CSL.

Still looking, is there a UK E9 forum?

I'm afraid I don't know of one (though I seem to remember an online US club when I was looking for one. Jaymic are the main specialists for this car in the UK - try googling, well worth a look. I came to the conclusion that I would settle for a carb engined 2800CS or 3.0CS manual (with a view to tuning) as nice E9's are so rare and tatty ones cost so much to restore.

Good luck with the search, I think the E9 is my all time favourite BMW and I still kick myself for not butying a CSL needing new panels & engine for £2.5k a few years ago!

Hi Job38,

I'm a bit biased towards 80's BMW's. Munich Legends does seem to be a good place to get some quality stock.

If you're after somthing really unique what about these:

I know that M636csi isn't to everybodys taste but it is rare.

I am in love with the B9. If I had the garage space it would be mine!

I'd love an E30 M3, it's currently next on my list, along with an E28 M5, and an E24 M635csi....

As mentioned, Derin's M3 will be up for sale soon, his cars are beyond immaculate. He is always willing to chat to.

Happy hunting and I hope you get the car you want. smile

Lovely car, silly price!

Still, if that's what the market says they're now worth, then that's what they're worth.

Expensive Yes

Silly No, when you consider an 'average' example with over 100k miles goes for 8-12k that will undoubtly required further fettling
