Hello All,

i just drove back my new Box S from Germany (600 miles).
I liked it a lot before buying it.
I am now thrilled i loved it.

It' s black (matt mon-metallic), sport design inside, sport design wheels, sat-nav.

I cannot believe it is my car.

I am so happy!

So when can i meet some of you at a PCGB track day now?

Eric.

I've just spent a couple of hours polishing my black 993, so I know yours will look great when it is clean. You have to be philosophical about the fact that everytime you wash it you find there's a new stone chip though

Hello Steve, Don & all,
txs for the info re the stone-chips & Silverstone (i heard it is quite an expensive day isn' t it?).

The stonechips? i think i will have the armourfend protection fitted to my car (as i used to have on my Elise).

Silverstone? any contact at PCGB that i could call to know more about registering myself & get informations?

Txs,
Eric.

Are we still meeting up the night before for a curry then? If so I need to organise this.

Yeah, I am still up for this. Should be booking the Baron on it as well, but not back on the domster drive yet. Have taken the Friday off anyway.

'Ang on a minute here Dom - I thought you'd flogged Ze Baron for your black man's repmobile, plus a plastic pig kit? Or am I missing something?

Dom's an odd lad isn't he. Ditch the kit for a radical at half the price.

You monkey RR - the Radical would cost virtually the same. I have looked into it

Greg - that is what happens when you go on holiday - you miss the goss. I am getting the Baron back in concourse condition, and the BMW will be my tech's new project. Hopefully getting Ult chassis on Sat.

Cheers

guys i' ve driven the car back from Hamburg & the motorway miles went like a dream.

This car is a flying carpet!
....with sat-nav! => i like the voice of the lady who says 'turn-right'... 'turn-left'

But then, back in London i went for a little blast with a mate on my favourite 'blast' road close to city airport..

i almost wet my pants: the noise of this car is so good!
& so is it' s accessibility, it makes you feel immediatly like Schumi.

i now need some stone-chipping protections... Any ideas anyone?

armourfend - clear sticky tape stuff - is the best for stone protection IMHO

look up distributors on google or something

it may be best to get it professionally applied as it can be a bit fiddly

Dom,

yes i know about Armourfend, but they are vastly overpriced (they used to charge £1000 to do an Elise).

A box S would be £2000 then (????).

I met a chap called Mark from Clacton-on-Sea last year who used the same material as Armourfend & did it on my Elise for £200. It was brilliant!

His mobile phone does not work anymore, i do not know how to reach him.

Would you know any chap who could do a similar job?

Not sure. Sorry.

I think you only need to do bits of it anyway - bonnet and stuff?

Porsche paint is quite thick, and with Zymol it shouldn't chip that easily. Worth going for protection if you can get it, tho'

Cheers

I'd love to, mate. That or a Chinese - perhaps the Rice Bowl in Towcester or summat? It'd be a laugh to get some of the PH Porsche Lads 'n' Lasses together for some serious tyre kicking'n'nosh and get the mood going for a sound hoon the next day.

Everyone will be avoiding a hangover on account of the driving the next day anyway so we can go anyplace suitable with a car park I'd have thought...

I'm away on vacation for a couple of weeks after Friday so if I don't post to a thread saying YES I'm COMING just assume that I will be there...

Okay Don - new thread time methinks? So far we have the following reprobates "up for it":

Don + Mrs Don
Greg & Emma
Domster
Daz
MauriceC2S

Unfortunately Lord DeR of Bolton won't be joining the throng - something about working late on the Thursday before. He will join us Friday am.

In the new thread I'll chuck my ideas about. Parking won't be a problem - I've arranged that already.
