Just thought I'd ask are any of the PH'ers on here interested in being involved in a business in the motor trade & motor sports arena? I've plenty of experience in the business & am very interested in getting something serious off the ground. Current plans are two simple business areas that would tie in quite well.

One is expanding an existing small low overheads car sales business & a additional business running fleets of school/race cars which could be expanded into the trackday market. Could be quite hands on for the right person. I'm also completely open to suggestions & ideas.

Feel free to contact me if its of interest

I know a guy who has invested in motorsport businesses in the past, email me and I can give you details to send through a proposal to if you want.

Sorry can't PM you - on hols with my PDA for company!

I might be interested in chucking some risk money at it, if I'm convinced it's got some potential. Needless-to-say, I'd need more info and then a meeting or three. Could you PM me in a couple of weeks please?

Can't help with cash, but I can help with many other things as I have extensive experience of setting up and running businesses, basic book keeping and I am also an ex machanic with race experience, both driving and running cars, based in the East Midlands.

Just PM me if I can be of any help.

Might be worth contacting Andrew at Advent Motorsport (www.adventmotorsport.co.uk), Andrew is my Dad and they have been talking for some time about expanding their existing workshop facilities to allow them greater ability to deal with track day/fast road sales/work.

Bearing in mind this is totally off the cuff but perhaps an email is worth while. Maybe a JV or something could be a good way to go. I think the difficulty for him has been to find the investment to expand the business as race teams are generally not very cash rich because of the consistent reinvestment although a great deal of the infrastructure in terms of staff and premises are already in place.

Just a thought.
