Facing a tough choice.
Flog or Fix?
My Audi S6 blew its ECU, coil packs, POS and we suspect parts of its Harness. ECU, coil packs and POS have all been replaced, but it still wont start. The Hall sensor, crank sensor have all been checked, Auto electrician thinks it Modules in the harness have gone. Will take hours of his time.
Now, choice is find a rear end write off, nick all the bits and get my car back. I dont want to kill it, its a rare car and 8 months ago was a good runner, it drove brilliantly, the suspension was overhauled.
However, being cold hearted, it makes much more financial sense to just give up.
What do you reakon?
Its not causing a problem at the moment, the Garage who have it (DP garage, Indian Queens, Cornwall) have been excellent and said it has not caused a problem, and are happy to hold onto it untill a suitable donor car comes up.

tough one indeed.... i would agree and plunder from another S6 and do the repairs, is the car in good enough condition and mileage to warrant repairing it? As a non runner with the issues you have i think you may not get much for it, a pal picked up a near mint urS6 saloon in Aberdeen for £2.5k earlier this year. Then again i looked at an MTM urS6 avant at the same time which was mint and going for £5k.
also try www.audifans.net, i know the user "beerbelly" there is breaking a urS6.
Rare cars indeed is it an avant or a saloon?
not 100% but the different between the S2 and the ur S4/6 is the tubing for the turbo is lesser on the larger cars but mechanically identical. I am almost certain an ABY S2 would meet your needs as well.

It is a manual Saloon.
It is not mint, but the bodywork is straight. The Offside has been resprayed, but that didn't concern me because the shut lines are perfect, it defo was never involved in any (big) crash.
It has done 170k miles, but mechanically it was probably one of the better. The suspension had been given a pretty good overhaul, new dampers etc, the engine was strong, no smoke or issues like that, did not use oil, it really did drive like a new car. Also, I had had bits like the wheel bearings done....
Basically its by no means immaculate, and it was Highish miles, but mechanically excellent. Interior also very good, especially now its been dried out.
Thing is though, as much as I love it, my thoughts have turned to trackdays and a car to learn in, and the Audi is not that car. I dont want to scrap it.... But judged coldly that is what I should do....
I am letting my emotions about this car into the judgement process, ohhhhh dear
