Anyone fancy a part/x
Discussion
Guys,
Really fancy getting into the Noble ownership experience, so was wondering if anyone fancies, or indeed knows of anyone that fancies a p/x with the beast I own at present:

Thanx.

low mileage it is, but a newer E46 M3 could be bought for that dosh and if my memory serves me well it handles and looks better.

I,m not going to get into an argument, but if you have ever driven a coupe that has been well and truly sorted, as has this one, then you wouldn't even put it into the same class as an E46 M3. ( And I do speak from experience, having owned one ).bennno
The other thing that you have to remember is that E46 M3's are about as common as Porsche 911's, that is why you can buy them so cheaply, then when you come to get rid you will realise why you should have bought a very rare S54 coupe, basically, in a couple of years time you probably won't be able to give them away, whereas the coupe will start to appreciate in value, as per the E30 M3's did.
Anyway, don't forget the subject of this thread, and I apologise for digressing.

I test drove a ZM coupe and E46 M3 back to back in 2002. The ZM coupe is based on a very crude earlier chassis whilst the E46 M3 was more comfortable and better looking.
The seats are also mounted too high against the door windows and the interior is cramped and cheap feeling.
The only benefit of the ZM coupe is that its normally cheaper, but at that price even that benefit isnt there.

As they say in that big house we see on the TV from time to time:The seats are also mounted too high against the door windows and the interior is cramped and cheap feeling.

Without wanting to lower the tone of this thread, ( after all, I only asked if someone fancied a swap ), the reason they are so rare is because they only produced so many, not because they are inferior to the E46, I would have thought that was obvious.
Secondly, the reason I am selling is, like many of us, I wish to try something else, and after all, the Noble is hardly a "Rep-mobile", so still rare.
And I do like cars that are a bit different.
I know we are all entitled to our own opinion, but can I suggest if you wish to discuss which car was better, you post something on one of the BMW sites, where, I am sure other members would be only too willing to comment.
Thanx.

hi steve!.always liked these cars but it is a shame to see the prices of them dip to near 10k .i can understand why you have thoughts on a noble, its rare ,good residuals, desirable and damn good looking.would i part ex? not on your life.think i speak for most other noble owners.good luck with your sale and hope you are on here soon showing us pics of your noble cheers
Steve
Im in the same boat - I currently own a Z M Coupe but have really been sucked into the idea of Noble ownership and I cannot get the little blighters out of my head. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how you compare the 2.
I have driven a number of M12's over the last year. The main thing that has struck me about the 2 is this:
You plant your foot in the Noble at low revs and it explodes like a bat out of hell until about 4,500rpm where the surge of power seems to die right off and everything feels a little flat after that until you change gear and get the revs down again. The M, whilst being far less explosive, delivers the power more and more as the revs rise toward the redline. I have no experience of turbo-charged cars and would be interested to know whether this is a common symptom turbo'd motors or whether it is simply a Noble trait. Any thoughts on how this 'flat spot' can be remedied would be welcomed from any of you Noble owners???
But Steve, with regard to the M Coupe, Im going to try and hang onto mine and get a Noble. I love the coupe to bits and because I agree with you, its only matter of time before they start to appreciate in value again.
Thanks
Z

New exhaust + remap = job done. There might be a 3R with all this and loads more coming up soon. The poor thing just sits in the garage week after week. It won't be cheap though
